Reigning champions KCCA have a good opportunity to open a five point gap at the top of the table if they can pick maximum points off hosts JMC Hippos at Kakindu.

The Kasasiro, who are two points clear of SC Villa with two games in hand, face arguably their weakest game of the run-in at Jinja against a side with no ambitions.

But Mike Mutebi isn’t taking anything for granted and despite his side now being clear favourites after negotiating the tough corner, he says there are still points to fight for that are not won yet.

“We have five games to go,” he said. “And we hope to collect the desired points to make us champions starting with one against JMC Hippos,” he added.

The hosts, already relegated from the division haven’t won a game this season which offers the visitors, who go into the game buoyed by the 1-0 wins over Express and Police FC in the league and Uganda Cup respectively more belief.

Mutebi is expected to make changes in the team with leading scorer; Geoffrey Sserunkuma expected to return to the starting team after coming off the bench against Police.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan is also expected to return between the posts but midfield gem, Muzamiru Mutyaba is a doubt with a shoulder injury.

KCCA are on 51 points while the Hippos sit at the table base with just 7 points.
