Moroccan club Fath Union Sport Rabat has confirmed Saturday May 13, 2017 as the date for the game against KCCA in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The two sides will face off at the Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan at 10pm Local time according to the club’s official website in what will be their opening game of group A.
“The Confederation of African Football (CAF) today announced the full program of the matches of the first day of the chicken phases of the CAF Cup 2017…” read part of the statement.
To this end, Fath Union Sport will face the Ugandan formation of Kampala Capital City Authority on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:00 PM at the Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan
To reach the stage, FUS Rabat, SC Villa’s conquerors last season in the same competition eliminated fellow Moroccan side MAS Fez 3-2 on aggregate while KCCA saw off Egypt’s Al Masry 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate tie.
Other teams in the group are Rivers United of Nigeria and Club Africain of Tunisia who also face off on the same weekend with the Tunisians hosting the Nigerians in Tunis.
The top two sides in each group will advance to the quarter finals of the second most lucrative club competition in Africa.
