Soana boss Alex Isabirye says he wants his side to finish strongly in the league as they prepare for next season – his first full term at the club.
The Kavumba outfit lost 2-0 to The Saints at Bombo Barracks last Tuesday in a hot-tempered encounter that saw Isabirye and his an unused substitute Geoffrey Ssimbwa shown their marching orders by the referee as they recorded their ninth loss of the campaign, leaving them seventh in the league standings.
Ahead of their game against Bul, his former pay masters on Tuesday at Kavumba Recreational Grounds, Isabirye predicts a tough game, but says they are targeting maximum points from their two remaining games.
He said: “I’m still assessing the players so they are working so hard to be in the team and they are aware of the position we are looking at. We are targeting three points on Tuesday and in our last game. We want to finish strongly as we prepare for next season.
“Bul are fighting relegation and they badly need the win but they should be ready to fight because we are going to fight. They will not make things easy for us and we shall not make things easy for them either because our aim is to finish strongly.”
Soana currently lie seventh in the league with 39 points but have a possibility of ending the campaign placed fifth if they win all their two games and hope both Onduparaka and Express – who they play last lose their remaining games.
