Relegation threatened Bul are all systems go ahead of their Tuesday game against Soana at Kavumba Recreational ground according to their coach Peter Onen.
The soap makers eased their relegation worries last Tuesday with a 4-2 thumping of relegation bound Sadolin Paints in the Eastern derby at Njeru technical center. It was a result that lifted the side up to eleventh although just four points separating them from the drop with two games to go.
Bul go into their second last game of the campaign needing three points to confirm safety, and the tactician says his charges are ready for the tie.
He said: “As per our training in preparation for our next game that is on Tuesday, we’ve done everything as tactical preparation, physical preparation, psychological and then techniques ready for Tuesday’s match against our opponents Soana.
“About our shape and readiness for the game, we are not affected by any kind of injuries and all our focus is on Tuesday’s match which I think will be a turning point for us.”
While Bul have a better head to head against their Tuesday hosts (winning thrice, drawing once and losing two times), recent history shows the side has been the weaker team.
Soana edged Bul 1-0 at Kakindu Stadiun last season before thumping them 5-2 at Kavumba in the reverse fixture.
But Onen who says he doesn’t believe in history says their game approach will determine the outcome and not past results.
“That is something that happened some time back, tomorrow it’s something new that’s going to happen. Forget about history. It is our preparation and our focus that is going to determine how the match will end. I don’t believe in history because it depends on how you’re focused, the attitude of players and then what they really know they’re going for. So about history, we shall not consider it.”
