Patrick ‘Crespo’ Asiku has wished his former side Bul the ‘best of luck’ in their remaining two games as they continue to push for survival in the Uganda Premier League.
Bul, tenth in the league with 32 points, head into Tuesday’s game against Asiku’s Soana at Kavumba Recreational Ground needing three points to seal safety but they come up against a side desperate to finish strongly in the league.
Asiku, if selected will face the side he helped earn promotion to the Premier League, and has wished them lots of luck on Tuesday and in their final game of the campaign.
“They are in a very tricky position,” Asiku, a celebrated player and the longest serving captain at Bul said. “I know Soana is not the team they would have loved to face at this moment as we look stronger than them, but I wish them the best of luck in their games and hope they survive relegation.
“We are chasing for a decent finish so it won’t be an easy game. It bothers me that they are in this situation but on Tuesday if given an opportunity to play, I will be on duty. At the end of the day, this is football and anything can happen.
“Only God knows their fate and I leave everything to the Almighty,” added Asiku.
Bul host Onduparaka in their last game this term but the game could have no meaning if they manage to secure three points today.
