Uganda Cranes Regional Tours 2017:

Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin Sredejovic has on Friday named the final traveling team to Fort Portal for the Kitara Region tour.
Included on the team is British born Ugandan Isaac Layne Jjunju who has recently pen to paper for Grays Athletic in the Scottish Championship.
Jjunju was born in England to Ugandan parents 22 years ago. He has also previously played at Brentford and recentely South End in England.
Also, Danish based Robert Kakeeto who turns up for Aalborg Football Club is also on the team that will be captained by Hassan Wasswa Mawanda.
The tour will culminate into a match on Sunday at the Buhinga stadium in Fort Portal.
Micho told Kawowo Sports that the tour will help him assess the players suitable to make the trip for the up-coming AFCON 2019 qualifiers and international friendly matches.
“This tour is helpful to assess the players ready to travel to Ethiopia, Senegal as we prepare the team for the Cape Verde match in the opening match of the AFCON 2019 qualifiers,” Micho stated.

After the Kitara Region match the team shall fly out to Ethiopia for an international friendly match on 3rd June 2017.
There is another planned friendly match away to Senegal in Dakar before facing Cape Verde on 11th June 2017 in Praia.
