Days after losing skipper Taddeo Lwanga to Vipers, SC Villa have reportedly netted midfielder Mahad ‘Yaya’ Kakooza from Express FC.
Kakooza is believed to have signed a two-year deal with the Villa Park side to reunite with former boss, Wasswa Bbosa.
The midfielder has hard a wonderful season at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku and scored some important goals for the Red Eagles.
Besides Kakooza, the 16-time league winners have also reportedly signed Express captain Musa Mukasa as well as striker George Senkaaba from Kirinya Jinja SS.
Reliable reports from the Jogoos also indicate the club is close to completing deals to sign defender Ronnie Kisekka from Proline and winger Simon Sserunkuma.
The club has already lost striker Umar Kasumba (Sofapaka), defender Paul Mbowa (URA) and Taddeo Lwanga (Vipers) with a host of other players also expected to exit the club.
The transfer window officially opens on July 1 and as usual, we shall keep you posted on the moves and transfer gossip.
