Ahead of the Uganda Cup final against Paidha Black Angels, KCCA midfielder Paul Mucureezi is unfazed by the massive home support expected to cheer the West Nile side.

Paidha Black Angels is expected to have more fans at the Green Light stadium, Arua than their opponents but Mucureezi cares not.

“We are big a club and don’t care about the home fans,” said Mucureezi. “We played in Angola with over 20,000 fans and I doubt there will be more or even equal at the pitch,” he added.

Talking fans, I don’t think it will be a challenge on us as KCCA. We are looking forward to the game as KCCA and ready to win it.

The midfielder has suffered a dip in form in the previous month and has someone dropped out of Mike Mutebi’s starting team.

He attributes that to an injury but remains confident of getting back to his best sooner than later and promised Thursday to be one of his best games in KCCA colours.

As you well know, when you just recovered from an injury, you can’t be at your peak but slowly by slowly, you get back. Actually, I think Thursday will be one of my best games and I know I will make it.

Mucureezi has won two league titles at Lugogo but Uganda Cup remains elusive despite playing in the finals in 2015.
