Talk of the name Charles Baker Masiko… And the mind will run to Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

The club’s ‘life captain’ won many hearts at Lugogo with his committed displays but despite winning many trophies for the club, he never won a double although he came close in 1983.

Forward to 2017, his son Tom Masiko has a big chance to win the maiden double for the Kasasiro and the lad can’t wait to surpass his father’s achievements.

“Many people are looking at me in the image of my father,” he said in a press conference. “That’s what I want to end,” he added.

For all the time he spent here, he didn’t win a double. I want to win it come Thursday. When I talk to him, I tell him am going surpass you.

Although the CAF club competition format wasn’t as similar to what it is now during his father’s days, the former KCCA skipper says reaching the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup means he already has more history at KCCA than his father.

First of all, I tell him he never played in the group stages of the CAF continental game.

Masiko has been in superb form and has scored in four of his five games for the Yellow Boys.

He is expected to be the man to unlock the Paidha Black Angels backline on Thursday with his defence splitting passes as well as his trade mark long range shots.
