Uganda Cranes midfielder Michael Azira played full time for Colorado Rapids in their 3-1 home loss to LA Galaxy in the Major League Soccer duel at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

The hard working box to box diminutive midfielder, teammate to former Manchester United and US goalie Tim Howard came face to face with some of the world’s best left backs, Ashely Cole.

Azira could however do little to save his side from the home blushes coming from the previous weekend’s 2-1 home victory against the Portland Timbers.

Striker Jack McBean led the assault with a well taken brace in either halves.

McBean gave the visitors the lead as early as the 5th minute.

Serna Dillon then found the equalizer 8 minutes to the mandatory half time break.

McBean returned to the score sheet with a 63rd strike.

Second half substitute Romain Alessandrini put the game to bed with a well chipped kick from the penalty spot in 71st minute.

The penalty arose after Bradford Jamieson IV was brought down by Kortne Ford in the forbidden area.

Colorado Rapids return to action this Saturday, 24th June 2017 away to Atlanta United at the Bobby Doddo stadium.
