Kenya’s Manvir Baryan is eyeing another great performance just two weeks after he registered his second career win in the fourth round of the home rally championship this month.
The Multiple Team driver is keen on maintaining his winning form as he makes a return to the Pearl of Africa rally next weekend.
“This will be my second Pearl Rally event since 2014. Our main target is definitely to finish on a podium, and it’s what we shall work for,” told Kawowo Sports.
Baryan finished in fourth position on his last visit to Uganda in 2014.

Despite being a registered Africa Rally Championship (ARC) contender and currently in sixth position with 15 points, Manvir reveals less interest in the ARC contention during Pearl Rally.
“We are coming for Pearl to have fun and mainly for our Ugandan fans who enticed us to race here again.”
“We are not so much into the ARC race. The tight schedule I have cannot let me take on ARC competition this season,” he said.
Baryan will have his British co-driver Drew Sturrock in the Skoda Fabia.
Manvir’s participation has risen some excitement with fans eager to see the Skoda Fabia which will be featuring in the Ugandan competition for the first time ever.
Manvir Baryan will be joined by Jaspreet Chatthe and Dilraj Chatthe as they fly the Kenyan flag in the weekend rally.
