Uganda’s reigning league champions KCCA Football Club avenged their first leg loss to Morocco’s FUS Rabat with a 3-1 win in a CAF Confederation Cup Group A match at Lugogo.

During the first leg, the Ugandans lost 3-0 on the road in the opening group stage matches of the continental competition.

In the return leg, the home team took the deserved lead five minutes to the half time break through veteran striker Geofrey Sserunkuma.

Sserunkuma converted a penalty following a high boot foul on teenager Julius Poloto by left back, Yassir Jarici.

The center forward calmly took the opportunity with open hands, slotting the ball to the left and the diving goalie Aymane Majid was sent the wrong way.

Yassir was cautioned by the day’s referee Norman Matemera for the foul.
