Tunisia’s Club Africain worked for the maximum points away to Rivers United with a 2-0 victory in the CAF Confederation Cup Group A match at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday evening.

Two second half goals from Mauonoub Haded and Mokhtar Belkhither in the 61st and 91st minutes won the game for the visitors.

The fixture followed the other group match where KCCA whitewashed FUS Rabat 3-1 in Kampala on the same day.

Club Africain is now joint top in the group with 9 points, same as Uganda’s KCCA.

The Tunisian side will now square off with KCCA on Friday, July 7 in a game that either club needs a draw to progress to the quarter finals.
