- Ndejje Angels 77-74 City Oilers

Going by how fired up how Ndejje University Angels were at the start of the game, it was clear City Oilers were not going to have an easy Sunday night.
Angels (2-2) started with a quick 11-2 run and the four-time defending champions responded with a 9-2 run to close out the opening frame trailing 13-11.
City Oilers tried to impose themselves on the game but Walker Obedi’s charges stayed locked in and led 29-28 at halftime.
After the break, the game was still a seesaw and City Oilers led by a point going into the final quarter.
Tempers rose in the final quarter as contested calls by the referees kept coming and City Oilers’ coach Mandy Juruni and forward Steven Omony were on the recieved end of technicals.
Eventually, Ndejje won the game 77-74 thanks to Maker Deng’s game high 18 points and 10 rebounds as well as significant contribution from Michael Othieno (17 points) and Innocent Ochera (13 points).
Omony matched game high 18 points to lead Oilers. Landry Ndikumana contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds while James Deng chipped in with 13 points and 9 rebounds.
