There is a massive restructuring process at the Jinja based Uganda Premier League side, Bul Football Club.

Often unusual for a club to let go of more than 15 players ahead of the kick off for a virgin season, it is a reality at Bul.

The Club Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Saleh Salumin has confirmed the release of 17 players for either contract termination, end of loan spell or expiration.

Team captain, Derrick ‘Rasta’ Walulya, Junior Mukisa,  Phillip Sempiira, Godfrey Buni, Edgar Luzige, Augustine Nsumba, goalie Brian ‘Ziggi’ Bwete, Isaac Sserunkuma, Judah Mugalu Luyima, Villa Oromchan all had their contracts expire and not renewed.

Two of the players  have had their loan spells come to an end.

Right winger Faruku Kawooya, on loan from KCCA was at first loaned to Onduparaka before he crossed to Jinja for a second loan spell at BUL in January 2017.

Robert Achema’s loan from SC Villa Jogoo also came to an end and the midfielder moved to Kenya before agreeing terms with Western Stima.

Meanwhile, former SC Villa left back Yeseri Waibi, Asuman Harisheh, Jonathan Katende, left winger Titus Lubega and  Bronson Sserumira were terminated for various reasons forwarded.

Whereas midfielder Nsumba has since retired and opted for a coaching career (head coach at newly promoted Big League side Kyetume), a host of players have moved on and signed elsewhere.

Oromochan, Sempira and Buni are at Western Stima, Harisheh signed for newly promoted side Mbarara City and others are yet to be employed.

It is evident with the arrival of former Uganda Cranes left international, Kefa Kisala, who makes his second spell at the club, he is re-structuring the club playing staff.
