Express Football Club head coach Mathias Lule has threatened to throw in the towel over reported breach of his employment contract.
Lule hinted on the unfortunate decision in the aftermath of his club’s slim 1-0 loss to newly promoted Mbarara City at the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara on Friday evening.
The Red Eagles, featuring a new look experimental side fell to Brian Ahebwa’s 60th minute penalty.
Speaking to Kawowo Sports after the well-attended preseason game, Lule expressed his grievance with issues of non payments.
I have not been paid for three months.
This July, I am making the fourth month, I think I have been patient enough. Let us wait and see what happens in the coming days but this condition is unbearable
Lule signed a three-year deal after the departure of Alex Gitta with a target for development.
Three thirds of the players he started with have all departed for greener pastures.
During the preseason match, about three old faces featured. Left back Remmy Makumbi, intelligent midfielder Sharif Ochaya and defender Timothy Sebudde played as towering goalkeeper Emmanuel Opio remained as an unused substitute to give Nadir Muhammed a chance to impress.

This is a young team that I am building. Hopefully, we shall get a good side before the start of the season
