The fifth round of the National Motocross Championship at the Motorsports Arena in Busiika was all about top riders stamping their authority in the different classes.

Of course Maxime van Pee and Fortune Sentamu proved they were unmatched on Sunday with sublime performances taking all the highlights.

But van Pee’s highlights went beyond his performance.

The MX1 leader was heated up in a bid to catch up on his competitors having given them over a 30 seconds head start.

As his elder brother Olivier van Pee tried to keep the pace up, he fell while negotiating a corner in the last heat and Maxime was just at his back.

However, Maxime made a quick reaction to avoid running over Olivier while the crowd was already on there toes holding their breath.

In fact, even Maxime seemed scared that he momentarily posed the race but continued after seeing Olivier getting back on the bike.

It looked nasty to the fans in the background

Maxime went ahead to win the race easily sweeping all three heats to widen his chances of winning the fourth MX1 title. Oliver came second in all the three heats.
