Even though Namibia have already won the Africa Gold Cup, Uganda’s clash will be very important for the home side.

Rugby Cranes head coach John Duncan expects his troops to play the game as if it is a final.

“It is very important that we win and put up a good performance,” Duncan told the press Thursday morning at Legends.

The South African revealed that his side has been improving every other day and expects the charges to present a good display to the home crowd.

“We are playing at home and we want to give our fans a good result.”

Being the last game of the campaign and with not much significance in terms of the table standings, the psyche is clearly low and there is little buzz ahead of the tie.

The Zimbabwe Sables are already in town but there isn’t much hype to Saturday’s clash at Legends Rugby Grounds.

On Tuesday, Duncan named the team for the tie with a few changes made to the team that lost 48-24 to Namibia.

Among the changes made, Justin Kimono will feature at the wing while Philip Wokorach switches from full back to fly half.

James Odong, who has featured at the blind wing all season, is set to play at 15.

Namibia have already won the championship and Uganda is in good position to finish third.

Duncan attributes the changes made to the depth of the team, something he believes has been the team’s strength.
