William Luwagga Kizito came off the bench to score as his side Poli Iasi rallied to beat Dinamo Bucaresti 2-1 in a Romanian topflight tie on Sunday.

The self-exiled Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder replaced Pedro Mendes nine minutes after the break and got on the score sheet in the 80th minute to cancel out Adam Nemec goal for the visitors inside eleven minutes.

Within the last minute of additional time, Poli Iasi won the game with a winner from another substitute, Brazilian Joalisson who also assisted Luwagga’s goal.

The two players entered the fray at the same time and the coach will be happy with his substitutions.

Maximum points take Poli Iasi to nine points from six games and they lie 7th on the 14-team table.

Luwagga joined the side in the summer window and has now featured in five of their games scoring just once.
