Kefa Kisala is optimistic there will be no repeat of last season’s struggles at Bul FC.
The former Masaka LC and URA FC coach returned to the self-proclaimed Eastern giants and hopes for better performance next season after the side spent most of the last campaign fighting relegation.
“I don’t expect repeat of last season’s relegation struggles,” he told Kawowo Sports. “I have confidence in the team and next time expect better,” he added.
Kisala’s side lost their first pre-season friendly, 1-0 against Police on Wednesday at Kibuli SS but instead of concentrating on the loss, he instead picked positives.
You could see a team with desire and character. Besides, we created opportunities that we only failed to put away but there is lots of optimism.
The side has recruited a number of players including former captain Patrick ‘Crespo’ Asiku, Fred Kyambadde and Yusuf Mukisa among others but the door is still open for new signings.
Transfer window for new signings especially forwards is still very open because that’s an area that needs improvement.
Bul returns to the pitch again on Friday afternoon at Kakindu against Agape SS.
