Embattled Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) striker Robert Ssentongo was on Tuesday blocked from traveling out of the country.
Officials at Entebbe International Airport blocked the diminutive center forward from traveling over what they termed as ‘unclear conditions’.
Ssentongo presented his one way electronic air ticket as the officials demanded a two way ticket.
“Hopefully this mess will be sorted so soon because I have to travel out of the country for work,” a visibly angry Ssentongo told Kawowo Sports.
Efforts to contact his representative based in Ethiopia who had booked him the ticket hit a dead end and the officials could not attend to him.
Kawowo Sports has established that Ssentongo, who had been wanted by a couple of clubs in the Democratic Republic of Congo is destined for North Africa.
In case he secures the return air ticket, he will proceed to Ethiopia to connect with his representative before continuing to Tunisia, the reported final destination.
His contract at KCCA is still running for another one season but manager Mike Mutebi has indicated he wont be continuing with the forward.
