Fred Ronald Niwagira Mwine has become the 9th Ugandan to acquire the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) players’ intermediaries licence.

Niwagira, a former footballer is also a sports journalist working with the state owned UBC West radio.

Licensed UGA-1707013, Niwagira becomes the 4th Ugandan to be duly registered this year.

“I am very happy to have acquired this FIFA Players’ intermediary licence. Uganda has over 40 Million people with only 9 registered intermediaries. I am glad to be the first one from Western region,” an excited Mwine revealed to Kawowo Sports.

Earlier this year, former Uganda Cranes international Mike Mutyaba, Tushar Ruparelia and lately Daniel Kisseka Ntale were registered as intermediaries.

In 2016, five people were registered and these included; Gibby Kalule, Musa Atagenda Ssebulime, Geofrey Solo Kayemba, Chadi Ezzeddine and Isaac Mwesigwa.

Players’ intermediaries are obliged to conduct the sale of players on their own behalf.
