LA Galaxy goalkeeper Clement Diop has been summoned to the Senegal national football team ahead of their FIFA World Cup Qualifier matches, both against Burkina Faso.
Senegal face Burkina Faso in the first leg on Saturday, Sept. 2 in Dakar, Senegal before travelling to Ouagadougou on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Diop earned his first-ever international call-up in late May 2017 and made his international debut in the team’s scoreless draw against Uganda on June 5, playing 45 minutes in the friendly.
The goalkeeper will leave for his country, Senegal following his clubs encounter on Aug. 27 against San Jose Earthquakes at StubHub Center.
Diop, 23, joined LA Galaxy II in 2015 before signing an MLS contract with LA Galaxy at the end of that season.
