Hours after FUFA announced his appointment on the Uganda Cranes technical team, former national team captain Ibrahim Ssekagya embraced the opportunity with open hands.

The Youth coach at New York Red Bulls expressed his readiness to serve the national team once again with a heart felt message posted on his official facebook page.

Ssekagya, a former State House, KCCA, Arsenal De Sarandi, Red Bull Salsburg and New York Red Bull center half wrote;

This is to clarify that I am invited for technical boost and support only under Coach Basena, who is heading the crew.

It is a pleasure and great opportunity for me to boost my growing Career.

After this campaign boost (Uganda Vs Egypt & Egypt Vs Uganda)

I will be heading back to my official duties at the Newyork Redbulls.

Ssekagya and Express head coach Mathias Lule were appointed on interim basis by FUFA to help Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba as Uganda takes on Egypt in the two up coming double headers of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Lule started work on Thursday morning while Ssekagya is expected to return from the United States this Sunday.

Meanwhile, the national team players currently available are expected to travel to the North East region ahead of the regional tour match in Bukedea.
