Police fought from a goal down to beat URA in the Uganda Premier League encounter.
Police secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against URA in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Police Arena, Kamwokya on Tuesday.
Joshua Lubwama gave URA a lead in the second minute with a header off Disan Galiwango’s well-curled corner kick.
Lawrence Tezikya levelled matters with a brilliant finish in the 15th minute. The Tax Collectors failed to clear their lines and Tezikya was quick to bag the gift.
Samuel Kayongo fouled Isma Mugulusi in the area and the referee pointed at the penalty spot, giving the visitors a penalty in the 32nd minute.
Moses Aliro stood up to take the assignment but the goalkeeper Edward Kasibante made a double save to keep his troops in the game.
In the 70th minute, Bedia Ikamba gave the Cops a lead with a quick touch after being set up by Saidi Kyeyune.
Two minutes later, Bruno Bunyaga nearly gave the Visitors an equaliser but Police’s goalkeeper Kasibante made a massive save.
The victory sends the Cops in the fifth position with 41 points while URA lie in 11th with 23 points after 24 games.
