A 97 run win over rivals Kololo SS gave Mukono Parents a semifinal berth and will face record champions Busoga College Mwiri in the Schools Cricket Week.

The defending champions needed a big win to overtake Nyakasura but either result would have kept Kololo SS alive in the competition if the margin of loss was minimal but they let themselves down by poor fielding allowing Mukono to score 162 runs.

In the end, the result proved to be a good one for Nyakasura who will play favorites Jinja SS in the first semifinal at Kyambogo tomorrow with Mukono Parents taking on Mwiri in the second semi final.

The final will be played immediately after the semis at Kyambogo still.

It’s a tough pill to swallow for Kololo who were the only unbeaten team prior to this game and Frank Akankwasa will feel hard done by the math.
