Kirabo Namutebi won all five available gold medals in the 11-12 years girls’ age category at Sunday’s Fast and Furious Swimming Gala at Gems Cambridge International School, Butabika.

She collected all available 45 points to emerge the best swimmer in her age category while Seals’ Francesco Kagugube and her Dolphins’ teammate Pendo Kaumi topped the 9-10 years boys with 36 points apiece.

Namutebi’s brother Tendo Mukalazi, and Adnan Kabuye tied on 36 points each too to emerge best in the 13 and over age category at the championship that had 100m individual medley, 25m and 50m races.

Silverfin’s Selina Katumba beat Seals’ Alexis Kituuka (32 points) and teammate Mercedes Mwebeiha (28 points) to top the 13 and over girls.

Silverfin siblings Heather and Ruben White topped the 9-10 girls and 11-12 boys respectively. Seals’ Amelia Mudanye, 8, was the best female swimmer in the 8 and under category where Dolphin’s Ethan Ssengooba emerged the best boy.

The best swimmers were awarded by sponsors DStv while Movit awarded all those that broke meet records at the championship.
