Steven ‘Nesta’ Mugisha is confident Police FC will bounce back from the 2-1 defeat to Mbarara City.

It was Police’s second loss in six games this season and before it, Mugisha had highlighted the importance to pick maximum points on the road.

The Cops number 6 thinks the result would have been different on a better playing surface but admits they have to move on.

“The most important thing now is how we react,” he said. “I have belief that we shall bounce back in our next game,” he added.

We struggled under the conditions at Kakyeeka but still deserved not to lose. If only the pitch wasn’t soggy after the rain because with the way we play, it was tough to move the ball on the surface.

Mugisha has been arguably Police’s best defender this season with good game reading and command of the backline.

Police’s next game is at home to a resurgent Kirinya Jinja SS at Namboole on Wednesday October 25.
