Jinja SS Ladies cricket team
Masaka SS

Immaculate Nakisuyi has delivered Division I for Masaka SS with her bat and she scored another ton against JACC to help her side win by 187 runs.

The Schools cricket MVP has been the runs powerhouse for the Masaka based team since the second run and this is her 2nd ton in as many games.

The Aziz Damani powered side is already planning for life in Division I after defeating everyone in Division II.

However, coach Yusuf Nanga might have a hard time holding onto his star player Immaculate Nakisuyi given her form with the bat.

She was also very instrumental in the success of the Lady Cricket Cranes in Namibia in August especially her character knock in the semifinal win over Kenya.

In Division I, former winners Pioneer are still searching for their maiden win in the league. With nothing in the winners column Pioneer need to find a win before they run out of games.

Jinja SS got the better of them at the lakeside oval in Entebbe by 73 runs. National team players Stephanie Nampiina (71) and Kevin Awino (43) were successful with bat in hand for Jinja SS. Kenyan International Queentor Abel couldn’t inspire Pioneer who only managed 127 in reply.

There is a very thin line between survival and winning the championship in Division I with all teams separated by very little.

Defending Champions Tornado B and Pioneer are yet to pick up any wins while KICC and Jinja SS are unbeaten with 2 wins each. Wanderers and Olila High have a single win with one loss.

It will be interesting to see where any of the teams finishes when the round of games is done. The top team will be crowned champions while the bottom team will be relegated.
