UPDF’s dreadful run on the road continued following their 1-0 loss to Soana on Tuesday at Kavumba Recreational Ground.
The army side has lost all its games away from home this season, and Tuesday’s loss counted as their fifth defeat on their travels.
Willy Kavuma’s first half goal did the damage, leaving the side that last week appointed Steven Bogere as their coach after Moses Basena remain seated in the relegation zone.
Kavuma’s goal ensured Soana, who have now won twice at home this term recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this term. This was after their crucial victory at Kirinya-Jinja SSS over the weekend.
Victory was Soana’s third in the league this campaign. It lifts the coach-less side three places up to ninth.
UPDF remain placed second last with only five points collected from nine games. Up next for them is a home tie against third placed Vipers after the international break on November 15.
Soana meanwhile travel to Luzira Prisons Ground to meet Maroons after the international break.
