Express FC continued to struggle at their own Mutesa II Wankulukuku graveyard when they fell 2-1 to debuting side, Masavu on Wednesday.
The Entebbe based side needed strikes from captain Abraham Ndugwa and Ddumba Sadala for the sweet victory.
Diminutive hard working forward Daniel ‘Muzeei’ Sserunkuma pulled a goal back for the Red Eagles as they rallied to make amends but it was a little too late.
This was only Masavu’s second victory on the road following their match day 2 victory away to Proline.
Whereas the victory is a relief for Alex Gitta and former Uganda Cranes international Joseph Mutyaba at Masavu, there is intense boiling pressure from all corners for Douglas Bamwenyana at the other side – Express FC.
The Red Eagles, 6 time winners of the league are now 14th with just 8 points off 9 games.
Masavu ascends above UPDF to 15th with their 7th point in 10 matches.
