Proline Football Club coach Baker Mbowa was left disappointed after conceding a late equalizer in the game against URA but was pleased with the performance of his charges.

Proline created chance after chance but could only bury one and paid for the wastefulness in front of goal when Denis Kamanzi snatched a point for the tax collectors.

Target man Fahad Bayo missed four clear cut chances while Captain Joseph Mandela put a couple to waste and goal scorer Sula Matovu could not convert one on the evening visitors asked all questions.

Matovu put the visitors in the lead after beating Sam Sekitto on a long ball from Mandela before sliding it past Alionzi Nafian to the far corner.

However the lead lasted for only 20 minutes as Kamanzi unmarked at the far post beat debutant goalie Nasser Lwamunda for the equalizer.

“The goal came as a surprise. We loosened up a bit at the wing and they got the equalizer. Our tactics in the second half were fine so I think it’s just luck,” Mbowa told Kawowo Sports.

“We created a lot of chances but we couldn’t put the away. Overall I’m happy with the performance though it’s not a result we wanted to get given how we played.”

“I’m confident we will win our next game with this creativity.”

Proline face struggling Express on Saturday, November 18 at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.
