- Vipers SC 2-0 Kirinya Jinja SS

Milton Karisa scored a brace for Vipers as they ended a three match winless streak with a deserved 2-0 win over Kirinya Jinja SS at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.
In a high intensity game played on a chilly afternoon, Vipers began aggressively with Tom Masiko, Moses Waiswa and Yayo Lutimba with ambitious efforts from outside the area.
But the breakthrough came in the 24th minute when Karisa, unmarked inside the six yard area headed past Thomas Ikara in Kirinya Jinja SS goal.
Vipers who had earlier made a forced change with Taddeo Lwanga getting off for Brian Nkuubi continued to ask questions whilst Charles Ayiekoh brought on Mark Bamukyaye to stabilize things in the middle.
In the second half, the visitors improved in terms of possession and attack as they continuously searched for the leveller but they were dealt a big blow when Karisa doubled the lead.
A taming cross from the right was cleared into his path and with Ikara beaten; he headed into an empty net to send the home crowd into frenzy.
There were changes for both teams with Frank Tumwesigye Zaga and Baden Mujahidin coming on Duncan Seninde and Tony Odur respectively while Kirinya brought on Anthony Mayanja among others.
Despite a late scare, Vipers held on for maximum points as they moved to 4th on the log with 20 points after 12 games.
Kirinya remain seventh on the log with 17 points.
