Sports  Club Villa Jogoo humiliated Kampala regional outfit, Puma F.C 8-0 during a one sided friendly match played at Villa Park on Wednesday evening.

The visitors fell to an own goal following a goal melee as early as the opening 5 minutes.

George Ssenkaaba then led the rout with a well taken brace on the evening.

Martin Kizza, Alex Ssemuyaba, Godfrey Lwesibawa, new signing Arthur Kiggundu and midfielder Mahad Yaya scored the other goals.

This was the fourth friendly match for the Jogoos in a space of 10 days since they resumed training following the Christmas and new year break.

Club legend, Eugene Ssepuuya was introduced for SC Villa Jogoo in the closing stages of the game but limped out after a knock.

“The performance and result is good for the confidence levels from the players. We shall continue to prepare as we get set for the Uganda Cup home match in Masaka this Sunday against Hope Doves” head coach Wasswa Bbosa noted.

Earlier,  SC Villa Jogoo humbled City Lads 7-1 last Thursday.

Midfielders Martin Kizza (penalty), Abel Eturude, as well as strikers Alex ‘Benzema’ Kitata, George Ssenkaaba, Alex Ssemuyaba each scored a goal apiece before Yubu Bogere’s brace.

On Liberation day, SC Villa Jogoo defeated Kampala regional side, Kampala United 2-1 to lift the day’s trophy.

Second half substitute Simon Sserunkuma assisted for Yubu Bogere to head home the second goal as the second half kicked off.

Kampala United pulled a goal back through burly striker Eddy Twine’s late penalty in the second half.

Left back John Adriko scored a rare goal for the Blues to give the Blues a first half lead as the opening 45 minutes ended 1-0.

The Jogoos also defeated Azam 4-0 on Saturday.

SC Villa Jogoo is preparing for the start of the league second round as well as the Uganda Cup round of 64 match against Hope Doves at Masaka Recreational Stadium on 4th February 2018.

The Uganda Premier league second round will resume on 10th February 2018.
