Yasin ‘Gabis’ Mugabi has joined Zambia Super League (ZSL) side, Lusaka Dynamos.

The former SC Villa, URA, KCCA and Police FC custodian penned a two year deal at the club.

Mugabi last featured for any local side in the first half of last year when he kept goal for former league winners Police on loan from SC Villa where he had returned from rivals KCCA via Sadolin Paints.

Mugabi couldn’t hide his joy after putting pen to paper at the club and thanked his representative Musa ‘Atagenda’ Sebulime for job well done.

“2018 show time big up Musa Atagenda, Lusaka dynamos my new home,” he posted on Facebook.

Arguably one of Uganda’s most talented goalkeepers, Mugabi started his career at Villa Park from the side’s feeder side then, Jogoo Young.

He was part of the squad as SC Villa ended a four year wait for silverware in 2009 as they edged URA 2-1 to lift the Uganda Cup at Nakivubo.

At Lusaka Dynamos, he joins his former KCCA teammate and Ugandan international, Joseph Benson Ochaya.

Other Ugandans who have moved to Zambia in the window include Fahad Bayo, Abubaker Kasule and Hood Kawesa, who is also represented by Musa Sebulime.
