Uganda U-20 winger-cum-forward Hamis Tibita struck with an acrobatic effort as top flight side BUL overcame second tier outfit Nyamityobora 1-0 in a round of 32 Uganda Cup duel at Kakindu Stadium.
Tibita was well positioned to beat Nyamityobora goalkeeper Hilary Jomie with 20 minutes left on the clock.
The Uganda U-20 player tapped home off James Otim’s cross.
BUL thus became the latest club to advance to the last 16 stage.
Earlier Kefa Kisala’s coached side overcame Suncity 1-0 at the round of 32 as Nyamityobora were 5-0 winners away to Pallisa United.
The successful winner in this knock out duel will progress to the last 16 stage.
The champion shall smile home with Shs30M, the runner ups will get Shs.20m, semi- finalists Shs. 10m each while the quarter finalists will each receive Shs.5m.
KCCA is the cup holder.
The Uganda Cup continues on Sunday with three matches.
