KCCA returns to domestic action following last week’s 1-0 triumph in the CAF Champions league against Madagascar opposition, CNaps (Paul Mucureezi scored).

Mike Mutebi’s charges are currently third on the 16 team log and face a boggy side as Masavu that blown cold and hot in their debut season.

During the first round encounter at Lugogo, KCCA comfortably humbled Masavu 6-0 with the goals coming from Allan Kateregga, Derrick Nsibambi, Samuel Kayongo, Patrick Kaddu and Tito Okello.

Masavu’s prodigal son and team captain Abram Ndugwa missed a penalty in that match.

Between then and now, a lot of water had gone under the drain.

Kateregga, Kayongo and Tito Okello have all sought greener pastures away from the 12 time league winners, Kaddu is swiftly recovering from an injury.

Joseph Mutyaba and Alex Gitta who are at the helm of Masavu hired in 12 new players in the mid season transfer window with experienced legs and brains of Arthur Ssemazi, Abubaker Tabula, Patrick Ssenfuka and defender Michael Otimong among others.

The Entebbe based club is second from bottom with 16 points from 17 games.

Habibu Kavuma, goalkeeper Charles Lukwago and Timothy Awanyi will provide experience at the back with Isaac Kirabira manning the holding midfield department.

The primary task for goals will be on Paul Mucureezi, Muhammed Shaban and Derrick Nsibambi.

On the other hand, Masavu will look towards the sharpness of striker and skipper Abraham Ndugwa, Veron Ddamba’s creativeness, Ssemazi’s industriousness and trickery of winger James Kasibante.

Masavu’s solid defence line could have Simon Namwanja, Brian Nsubuga, Sunday Mukiibi, Micheal ”Libero’ Otimong and Ibrahim Mpengere.

The last time KCCA played at the ground, they won 1-0 against Entebbe in 2015 – thanks to a penalty by former captain Tom Masiko.

Masiko has since moved to rivals Vipers.

Maximum points for either sides will be key for the respective sides’ aspirations.

KCCA hopes to win away and pray URA overcomes SC Villa, so that the Kasasiro lads team could hit the league summit.

Masavu’s maximum points on the day will help them skip the relegation red-line for the fast time this season, above Proline, UPDF and Express.
