Uganda national U-20 head coach, Mathias ‘Salongo’ Lule has named an all attack minded team to face South Sudan in the first leg of the CAF U-20 qualifier slated at Lugogo this Saturday.

Proline experienced goalkeeper Saidi Keni starts in between the goal posts ahead of Express and Buddo S.S’ Tonny Kyamera.

Police’s Paul Willa and KCCA’s Mustapha Kizza take the right and left back roles respectively.

The center defensive partnership of Geofrey Wasswa (Vipers) and the team vice captain, Musitafa Mujjuzi (Proline) is maintained just like they played at the 2017 COSAFA U-20 championship in Zambia.

Express anchorman Abubakar Kasule starts in the defensive midfield position.

Kasule will be surrounded by a string of proven, tried and tested ball players in team captain Julius Poloto (KCCA), Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye (Vipers), Allan Okello (KCCA) and Joshua Okiror (Proline).

These will be tasked to feed the robust and pacy lone center forward, Steven Dese Mukwala of Vipers Sports Club.

Waiting list:

On the substitutes’ bench, it remains another rich list comprising of Tonny Kyamera (goalkeeper), Hamis Tibita (striker), promising Buddo S.S play maker Sadam Masereka, URA right back Fred Okot, among others.

The match kicks off at 4 pm and will be handled by FIFA referees from Rwanda.

The return leg comes between April 17th and 20th in Juba, with the successful country advancing to the next round to face Cameroon in a two legged encounter for a slot to the 2018 AFCON U-20 finals in Equatorial Guinea.
