Striker David Kizza starred with a hat-trick as Mbarara based club, Nyamityobora F.C won 7-1 away from home against Greater Masaka in a Rwenzori group FUFA Big league match at the Masaka Recreational Stadium on Thursday.

The former Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and BUL center forward led the demolition for the Masaka out fit as James Odoch’s side built an 7 point lead.

Brian Mugisha, Galvin Timothy, Robert Mukongotya and Henry Kamara each scored one goal.

Nyamitybora now has 45 points from 20 matches with four matches to the end of the season.

Rivals, Kitara were held at home by debutants Kabale Sharp in a goal-less draw at the Boma play ground in Hoima Municipality.

Another non scoring draw was registered by third placed Kira United at home with Masaka side, Synergy.

In Bundibunjo, Bumate United overcame Kasese club, Sun City 4-1 and Ntinda United lost 2-0 at home to Kansai Placon at the Kamwokya play ground.

Water were 1-0 winners at home to visiting Simba at the Kyambogo play ground.

Meanwhile, in the Elgon group, Allan Kabonge started his four match ban on the touchline but Paidha Black Angels won 2-0 at home to Moyo side, Vura at the Bar Okoro play ground in Zombo.

Paidha Black Angels now goes to 34 points to overtake Ndejje University (33 points).

Kyetume closed gap within the play off slots with an emphatic 4-1 win against Busia Fisheries.

Livingstone Mbabazi officially marked his first game on the touch line at Kyetume who now have 31 points, same as Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) Hippos.

Kyetume displaces JMC Hippos in third place of the Elgon group with a superior goal difference.

JMC played to a one all draw with Bukedea Town Council.

Three clubs shall be promoted to the top flight.

However, the best sides per group earn direct promotion with the third determined via a promotional play off.
