Following a 3-1 victory over bottom placed Masavu, Vipers’ Edward Golola revealed the side remains strong despite Miguel Da Costa’s absence on the bench.
The Portuguese began his four match ban for unsporting behaviour on Tuesday in a fixture Vipers had to wait till the 90th minute to win.
“It was a tough game,” said Golola who deputizes the Portuguese. “Getting three points wasn’t easy but we showed character,” he added before he was asked how much the team missed the Head coach.
I am not worried about his absence because I have ever won two trophies without him.
Next on menu for new table leaders Vipers is a daunting tie against champions KCCA on Friday but Golola is confident his side will do the needful and pick all points.
We shall a different approach to the game on Friday. Each game has its own approach. We respect them as champions but on the pitch, it will be different.
Golola is the man behind Vipers only two league titles in 2009/10 and 2014/15.
