Abdallah Mubiru described midfielders Juma Balinya and Hassan Kalega as ‘fundamental’ to Police FC 3-1 win over Mbarara City and the resurgence in form of the whole team.

Balinya was on the score sheet twice in the game while Kalega controlled proceedings in front of defence and his ball circulation was also top notch on the day.

“He’s our best player of recent and exemplified that again,” said Mubiru in reference to Balinya. “He is intelligent and links our midfield to the attack and also scores goals which is very key,” he added.

“Five goals in six games is a good return and he ismore responsible and brave to take on everyone. Balinya is not just the best for us at the moment, probably one ofthe best in the Premier League.

Kalega on loan from Vipers SC was also instrumental and Mubiru feels he proves each passing game.

“He is eager to learn and shows improvement in each and every game. He wins the balls with intelligent tackling and also distributes it with finesse.

The former KCCA and Vipers coach also praised the whole team for improved performances after stretching their unbeaten run to six games now in which they have won four.

“Our confidence levels at the start were low but we have improved in that area.

Police’s next task will be a tough one away to champions Vipers on December 9th.
