Team Uganda secured a third consecutive regional motocross title after edging Kenya in the final round held in Kenya’s capital Nairobi over the weekend. 

Uganda entered the event with 1643 points earned during April in the first round.

 And with a big number of riders for the final event, Uganda was  assured of yet again upstaging their hosts. 

Despite securing wins in the MX125, 85, 50 and 65 category, it however turned out to be a close contest as Uganda garnered 1031points from the eight category races. The hosts managed to collect 1000points. 

Gift Sebuguzi edged Kenya’s Mutai Wahome to claim the MX50 victory. Sebuguzi won all the three heats of the event. 

The Orland brothers; Aviv and Stav were an item in the two days sweeping all the heats in MX125 and 85 respectively. Their young brother Alon Orland too took home the MX65 victory after topping two heats.

Kenya had Ngugi Waweru and Rolf Kihara claiming the MX1 and MX2 classes respectively. 

Uganda won the title with 2674 points while Kenya would settle for 1204 points.
