Jinja based Uganda Premier League outfit BUL Football Club completed a season double over Maroons with a 1-0 win at the FUFA Technical Center.

Farouk Banga headed home the lone goal on the day four minutes to the half time break.

Right from the on-start of the game, BUL proved to be the team on mission.

Left back Richard Matovu forced Maroons’ lanky goalkeeper into an early save as early as the 7th minute.

Debutant Ezekiel Katende and Yunus Sibira were denied opportunities towards the opening half hour mark.

The home side called for all the three changes in the closing stanza of the game.

Hamis Tibita, returning after a long spell out paved way for James ‘Demba’ Otim before Deogracious Ojok and debutant Katende were replaced by Umar Mukobe and Douglas Timothy Owori respectively.

Maroons called off Pius Obuya for veteran winger Brian Majwega.

BUL ascends the table standings to fourth with 26 points, off 16 matches.

Maroons remain stagnant in the 12th place with 15 points in 16 matches.

Meanwhile, KCCA and Mbarara City played to a non scoring draw at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.

The league will resume on Friday, 1st February 2019 with two games.

Vipers host Kirinya-Jinja S.S at St Mary’s Kitende as Paidha Black Angels will face Ndejje University at the Green Light Stadium, Arua.
