
Nakuru will yet again get the KNRC curtains open when twenty drivers take to the stages in the season opener this weekend.
Kabras Rally Team’s Tajveer Rai will set the season rolling going first off the ramp in a Mitsubishi Evo X.
The reigning division one champion Eric Bengi starts the season all new. Bengi will be debuting his new Mitsubishi EvoX as he goes second on the road. He will be followed by Ian Duncan in third position.
Reigning KNRC champion Carl Tundo starts off the season in fourth while Nakuru rally defending winner Onkar Rai will start in fifth position.
Meanwhile, unusual of the season opener event, the Nakuru rally received limited entries with a number of notable crews absent.
Despite featuring in the season ender giving hopes of his return, Jaspreet Chatthe will yet again be a no show this weekend.
Africa rally champion Manvir Baryan is also among the absent crews in Nakuru.
But the rally wont be short of excitement following the inclusion of the power stage.
The power stage was incorporated into the KNRC as a results of the WRC Safari campaign.
The last stage of the event will act as the power stage and bonus points will be awarded to the fastest crews in the order of three, two and one point.
The rally will cover total competitive distance of 163.12kilometres consisting of four stages all repeated twice.
