Arthur Blick Jr announced that he will partner with his former co-driver Unissan Bakunda for the 2019 season that revs off this weekend in Mbarara.
Blick rallied with Bakunda in the fight for the 2015 NRC title; which they remarkably won.
The Shell Helix sponsored driver would eventually take on his wife Noella Blick as his co-driver while Bakunda opted for the driver’s seat.

“The decision basically came from the family. So many family members have been so concerned with us racing together for safety reasons.
“So we decided this year that Noella will take up another role as the assis team manager helping out the team.
“Besides, Unissan was readily available after taking a break from driving. We decided to take him up for the season,” explained Blick.

Blick had limited outings last year but has set his new targets for the new season.
“Our plan is to fight for the 2019 championship. The car is driving really well after doing several upgrades.
“We have also recruited our former manager Ameen Ally. It’s a big change for the season,” he added.
Blick and Bakunda will feature in the Mitsubishi EvoX.

Meanwhile, Noella Blick quits the co-driving seat after claiming the 2018 co-driver sprint championship title.
“Its unfortunate that am stepping aside. I will surely miss the adrenaline.
“I will however stay closer to the team with the managerial role,” she said.
