Patrick Kaddu scored a penalty midway the second half as KCCA won 1-0 against Onduparaka to complete a rare double over the Caterpillars.

In a tightly contested game at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo, the visitors were the better side overall but failed to hit the back of the net.

KCCA’s best chance of the game in the first half fell to Allan Okello but he shot straight at Nicholas Sebwato who parried the ball into Rashid Toha who cleared away for danger.

The Caterpillars also had chances with Nicholas Kagaba, Viane Sekajugo and Ceaser Okhuti all having attempts at Charles Lukwago’s goal.

After the break, the game remained same with both sides eager to break the deadlock but the defences stood resilient.

It wasn’t until the 62nd minute when Allan Kyambadde was brought down in the area and Kaddu made no mistake from the spot as he sent the Kasasiro into the lead.

The goal awakened the visitors who took the game to the 12-time champions with Fazilu Ibrahim hitting the post with some long range strikes.

KCCA introduced Isaac Kirabira and Jackson Nunda to calm the situation and the latter forced a good save from Sebwato.

Gadafi Gadinho and Ezra Bilda also came on for Onduparaka as they searched for the leveller but the hosts held on till the final whistle.

KCCA remain top of the log with 40 points, three ahead of Vipers who also won at Nyamityobora by the same score line.
