Walubi came close in the title race last season only to be restricted by mechanical issues.
“This year, I am seriously fighting for the title all the way.
“My preparations for the season are like never before, and thats how serious I want to go all down for the title,” said Walubi.

Walubi has over the years showed improvement in the pace.
And admits, there have been plenty of lessons learnt from past races.
“I realised my problems from last year. I was so short on preparations and lacked enough spares that is why I used to drop out due to mechanical issues.
“But this time, I believe have done quiet well on preparation.
“I have secured several of the things I need, prepared my technical team for the fight ahead and all other logistics. Now its God to bless us,” he said.
While in Mbarara for the season opener, Walubi hopes for a top position to initiate his title fight.
“Mbarara rally is going to be tight. But that is what we expect for the whole season.
“A podium place has always been my target. But this time I would prefer a win if all goes well,” he asserted.
Walubi will again partner with Anthony Mugambwa in a Mitsubishi Evo X.
