Futsal Uganda Cup (Semifinals)
- Yeak Kabowa vs Crown -6PM
- Bajim vs Dream – 7PM
Yeak Kabowa has arguably been the most impressive team in the Futsal league this season.
Their impressive run sees them top of the table in the Futsal Super League and look favorites to clinching the title with about six games to the end of the season.
The scintillating run has not only stopped in the league but extended to the Uganda Cup where they are into the semifinals.
The target therefore ahead of the semifinal clash against Crown is to remain competitive on both ends and perhaps become the first team to win a double (league and cup).
The prolific duo of Enock Ssebagala and Shafic Avemah has scored 57 goals between themselves in the league and will be main source of goals for Yeak Kabowa.
To reach this stage, Yeak Kabowa eliminated Typhoon, 8-3, at the quarterfinal stage. On the other hand, Crown ejected Kabowa United with a 2-1 victory.
The other semifinal that will also be played on Thursday will be between Bajim, who eliminated Nomad, and Dream.
Dream are the reigning league champions but have had a start-stop season and will hope they can redeem themselves in the cup.
This is the inaugural Uganda Cup edition whose final is expected to be played on 9th May 2019 with the winner taking a cash prize of two million shillings.
