URA 0-1 Bright Stars

Maroons 2-1 Tooro United

Mbarara City 0-0 Vipers

BUL 1-0 Kirinya-Jinja S.S

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) can not mathematically win this year’s league title.

This follows a heart breaking 1-0 loss, their third defeat of the season, falling to Bright Stars 1-0 at the Mandela National Stadium on Wednesday.

Striker Nelson Senkatuka scored his 10th goal of the season, to further torment the tax collectors after an early hard fought 2-1 win in the Uganda Cup at the same venue.

Senkatuka poked the ball into the net on the half hour mark for the 10th goal on his personal tally this season in the league.

From then on-wards, the visitors defended gallantly throughout the game, well handled by female FIFA Referee Shamirah Nabadda.

This was Bright Stars 8th victory of the season, displacing Express from the 10th place as they now accumulate 34 points.

The loss for URA officially dimmed their slim chances of winning the league this term as they now trail the leaders (KCCA) with 13 points.

Meanwhile, the top tier league continues on Thursday with one game when Express hosts rivals SC Villa in the city derby at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.
