Express Football Club registered their 9th win of the season, overcoming Kirinya-Jinja S.S 2-1 in Uganda Premier League at Mutesa II Stadium.
Brian Umony gave the Red Eagles the lead on 29 minutes.

Kirinya-Jinja S.S hard-working midfielder Jerome Kirya found the equalizer for the visiting side 13 minutes into the second half.
The joy was short lived when defender Arthur Kiggundu restored the lead for George Ssimwogerere’s side a minute later.

Referee Deogracious Opio cautioned two players in the game.
Express’ Bardu Nsubuga and Isma Kawawulo of Kirinya-Jinja S.S were the booked parties.

Express captain John Revita who barely put a foot wrong was named the man of the match, earning Shs 100,000 and a plaque.

The victory took Express to 37 points although they remained glued in the 11th position.
Kirinya-Jinja S.S succumbed to their 9th loss of the season, remaining 7th on 39 points.
